Asian Brush Painting Workshop - Jean's List of Materials These are the supplies you should bring: including one tube of Chinese white. is necessary for laying under the thin, absorbent rice paper (a sheet of felt from a fabric store or a piece of a thin, old wool blanket is ideal.) required for mixing at least three values of ink. and for blotting. producing a range and brilliance of values. These are the supplies included in the package price: (wolf/badger stiff) Asian brush with bamboo handles. watercolor paper, requiring great control when applying strokes. stokes made with water (instead of ink) evaporate rendering the paper infinitely re-usable, perhaps symbolizing the ephemeral nature of beauty. |
