Midcoast Maine with its rolling landscape, sparkling water and granite shores has drawn artists for centuries. It drew us. Quickly we discovered how many excellent painters came and stayed and settled in and around Waldoboro. Now, we’ve teamed up with some of the best to help you see this inspiring spot of nature through the eyes of an artist... and get expert guidance and instruction, too. We're proud to present Le Vatout's first series of summer workshops:

And then, there was the word. Written, spoken, sung, it captures image and emotion, moments in time. We're super excited about our first creative writing workshop, led by Ferron, internationally acclaimed singer, songwriter, storyteller, poet, and muse to generations of artists. Working with Ferron isn't just a writing workshop - nor can it be shoehorned into genre like memoirs or lyrics or poetry or song. It's a creative experience sure to spark the words you've harbored all those years. And it will be topped off with a concert by Ferron on your last night in Waldoboro's historic Waldo Theatre!
