Watercolor Workshop with Hannah Ineson

Join Hannah in her beautiful carriage house studio set in the midst of woods, fields and gardens and, if you'd like, on plein air excursions up and down the Pemaquid peninsula. Whether you're a beginner or an intermediate painter, you’re bound to love the care and attention this private workshop offers. Drawing is not a pre-requisite – only a willingness to learn and have fun! Hannah’s expressed goal is to help you find your own direction. She will show you how to master the tools of the trade - composition, color, value, and technique - but the real joy for her is to bring out your inner creative "genie."

Hannah InesonA popular workshop teacher, Hannah Ineson is also a fine painter who captures the essence of Midcoast Maine beautifully. Her inspiration is rooted in her love for the landscape, especially the wild landscape, but she is also drawn to older buildings and boats, especially "vernacular architecture", reflecting the history and unique style of the area.

Born into an artist family, Hannah developed her natural talent for drawing into a distinctive style of painting in watercolor. Mostly self taught, she studied with Frank Webb and Katherine Chang Liu, among many others. Her award-winning paintings have been shown in numerous shows – both juried and solo – and much of her work is featured in a popular line of greeting cards. Most importantly, though, Hannah is a patient and gifted instructor with decades of experience in painting and teaching in Maine, Mexico and Florida. She has taught watercolor classes for Elderhostel, was a member of the faculty of Round Top Center for the Arts and is affiliated with River Arts in Damariscotta and the Marco Island Art League. Regardless of your prior exposure to painting, we know you'll be enriched and stimulated and, most importantly, you'll have a great deal of fun!

I believe everyone is born creative. Artistic expression is one of the
most fulfilling activities of life, and it is a joy to work with others in the practice of it.
